Gene became a Planner II
(part-time) at the MPO in February 2003. He is currently involved in
transit and transportation disadvantaged issues, as well as, aiding
staff in a variety of other projects and activities. Gene earned a
Master of Science in Geology from Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York and a Bachelors of
Science in the Geological Sciences (Geography-minor) from the State
University of New York at Binghamton. He began his professional
career as an Exploration and Production Geologist with the Gulf, Amoco
and Marathon Oil Companies in both the domestic and international realm.
Gene also has held positions as Senior Engineering Geologist and Senior
Environmental Scientist while working in the States of New
York and Nevada.
